*History:
Kyoko Sasagawa has, all things considered, lived a fairly quiet and sheltered life in the town of Namimori. The youngest of two children and the only girl, she adores her big brother, Ryohei, and the feeling is quite mutual, if the lengths Ryohei goes to try and shield her from the reality of his life as a member of the Vongola are any indication.
One of the few things to note about her childhood is this: as a young child, some bullies used her as bait to lure her brother out, as Ryohei was (and still is) loud, obnoxious and rather annoying if you didn’t know him too well (and even when you do), so that they could “teach him a lesson”. That lesson left him heavily injured and Kyoko fairly traumatized – she blamed herself for what happened to Ryohei and subsequently begged him to refrain from fighting again. He promised and turned his attention to boxing as a sport, and that seemed to keep him focused and fairly out of trouble.
That was, until he and his sister got caught up in the (mis)adventures of one of the heirs to the Vongola family.
Long story short, after many trials and much training, Ryohei wound up as one of the young heir’s Guardians, and Kyoko was left in the dark as to the true nature of his dealings with the great Family. She did manage to piece things together, with the help of a friend, though she has kept her peace, knowing that Ryohei didn’t want her to know the kinds of things he’s had to do for the sake of the Vongola and to keep her safe.
Personality:
Sweet, caring and gentle. Rather motherly and mature despite her young age, but what can you do when your big brother acts as if he’s the younger one in this relationship? She’s clever enough when it comes to academics and intuitive in ways you wouldn’t imagine her to be though she really doesn’t look the part.
She worries about others easily though she tries to hide it behind a cheerfully smiling mask since she doesn’t like others worrying about her. She’s the type that would carefully turn a blind eye to things (or, at the very least, pretend to) if she knows there’s something you’re trying to hide.
Kyoko’s a simple enough kind of girl. She’s not one for ambitions or plotting at all. She’d be content to live a quiet life with the people she loves, but barring that, she’d be grateful just for the chance to be able to protect her friends and family instead of always being the one being shielded.
Abilities: Housekeeping (cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, taking care of children, mending clothes, etc.). Crafts.
She’s also learning basic medical techniques from the local doctor, if only to supplement the first aid skills she’s picked up from patching up her big brother.
Weapons and/or items of note: N/A
Allegiance: Family and friends first and foremost, then to Namimori and the Vongola to some extent as it’s the place she calls home and the people who protect it.
